Travel Perks From Cadillac
Luxury automaker Cadillac has teamed up with American Airlines to combine travel benefits with test drives. This new marketing partnership will encourage people to test drive Cadillac models, and reward those who do with travel perks. Simply test drive a Cadillac, and earn air miles from American Airlines. "Traveling in style is a shared interest of premium customers the world over" said Uwe Ellinghaus, Cadillac chief marketing officer. "Partnering with American Airlines, the world’s largest airline, allows us to engage customers and deliver valuable benefits in meaningful ways". For now, the program is being offered by invitation only to select AAdvantage’s invitation-only ConciergeKey members, but soon it will be available to anyone who is an AAdvantage member, regardless of status. Membership is free. More

Cadillac Elmiraj

General Motors has approved a rear wheel drive large sedan to go up against the Mercedes S-Class and other luxury rivals, set to enter production in the next couple of years. We're thinking it will be the Cadillac Elmiraj.

We've been seeing sneak peeks of Cadillac's concept for a little while now, along with the Ciel. Cadillac chose last week's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance to show it off in real life for the first time.

While Cadillac hasn't given the go ahead for the Elmiraj to enter production yet, even Bob Ferguson, the senior vice president of global Cadillac thinks it's a good bet. "Sometimes you go through these exercises to make a design statement," he said. "This car is marketable. It's practical enough to be put through the production process." He also added that the two door coupe "is very doable," and "Our dealers really want a vehicle like this."

General Motors Connecting All Models To Internet
General Motors has announced plans to connect all of it's future U.S. and Canadian models to the Internet via the 4G LTE network, currently the fastest network, promising even more connectivity between vehicles and their users. We should start to see this technology roll out in 2014 models by Chevrolet, Cadillac and Buick, and GMC models in 2015. Deployed through the OnStar systems already present in roughly six million GM vehicles, the connection will be provided by telecommunications giant AT&T. This connectivity will be available with an OnStar package, and possibly with a subscription independent of the OnStar package. More
